what is the distance suposed to be from the engine mount to the engine spacer or spinner hub. The directions do not state this in the manual. Can anybody help? This plane does not have a cowl on it

Does not matter if you do not have a cowl. I would think anyways. It may effect your ballance if you move it all the way forward but not much. Just give yourself plenty of room for tinkering with the engine!

I used the engine to balance mine. There is not a lot of choice on servo and battery location. So I installed everything but the engine. Then set it inverted on the CG machine. I had the prop and spinner and muffler on the engine already. Then I set the engine on the bottom of the mounts and slid it back and forth until the CG was where I wanted it. It's very easy to do on a plane like this where everything is open at the front.
