It's the same one that Giant Scale Planes and several other direct importers sell. It has been around for a number of years and does not have a good reputation for quality or flight performance.

As for a gas engine, why put an expensive engine on a low end airplane. You'd have to beef up the firewall and the extra engine and balance weight would just make the tip stall problem worse.

There are much better airplanes available.

Here is one example:

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_47.../tm.htm#472049

And by-the-way, Giant Scale Planes sells it $30 cheaper than Chief.

If price is your main issue, you would be a lot better off with a Seagull product than a CMP.

The reason im asking is this. I have not been flying for over a year and am just getting back into planes,And i have to buy it all again, Radio,Plane,Fuel, But i do have an OS120fs So i need a plane that will handle the engine and cost under $250. Wish these were about$60 cheaper http://www.wildharerc.com/Products/Edge120/edge.html
Any Ideas anyone?

Check out the Seagull Super Star at Horizon. It lists for $269, but your local hobby shop will probably give it to you for $250.

Also see http://www.airborne-models.com/index.asp Their Super Sport Senior is on sale for $250 and it is a great flyer with a 1.20.

I like mine, flys great. The plane I got from AKM just last week looked like it was built stronger than the first one I had. good plane, good price. IMO

sorry, the CMP edge. I put a ST2300 in mine, and I beef up the firewall on all my planes. The more power I put up front the more I beef it up.

Take a look at the CMP airplanes, Extra 300s, and the edge 540t both are nice planes, I have both. Try Jet hobbys or AK models
