Default Servos etc for UCD 60-90

Just bought a U Can Doo 60/90 which I am planning on fitting a Saito 100 to. I am wondering what servos to use. Any ideas on what work well for this model?

I also have a Saito 125 that I was planning on fitting to a Pattern ship of some sort (yet to be decided) that I could also fit - what engine would you use - the Saito 100 or the 125?

Also any other tips for this plane would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

I had a Saito 100 in mine and it had plenty of power. There may be a prop clearance problem with a 125. I used Hitec 635's and a JR rudder servo.

Steve,
I too have had a Saito 100 on my UCD.
Running a 15 X 6 APC provided plenty of power.
I am now running a YS 1.10 with 16 X 6 and have had no prop clearance issues.
Good luck!

Steve...

The UCDs are my favorite airplanes. I love them. I had a Saito 100 on mine and loved it. I didn't think it could be improved. Until I put the YS110 in it. It made it easier to 3D in every way. I was so much more fun to fly. And I really liked it before. If I had a choice...I'd put the 125 in there. You certainly won't regret it. Altough you'll still like it with the 100.

I've always used good servos and carbon fiber pushrods on all my planes. Well worth the extra dollars and work. Much better performance. I use HS5625 on the elevators and HS5645 on the rudder. I use HS645 on the ailerons. Works well for me.

I use a 16x6 prop or 17x4W on the YS. No clearance problems at all. I use a Sig Mayhem tailwheel. The stock one stinks on the 60. On the 46 it's ok because it's a much lighter plane but on the 60 I replace it. I also don't use the wheel pants for protection of the wings when the landing gear breaks out. They all do it, but I don't do anything until it breaks. Then I reenforce it.

I love these planes. So much fun to fly.

Good luck.

Thanks
Barry
