The wind finally died to under 10 kts., so I gave my A-7 a try. (I'm a virgin Newbie - I never had a really successful R/C flying day.)
In the past I had trouble charging the batt. pack, until I read the directions. Charge from the cigar lighter in your car with the engine NOT running. DUH! I had always figured it should be running. Charging wint smoothly.
Reciever checked, I held the POWER lever full throttle and launched her smartly, about 15 degrees nose up. It entered a right turn and a shallow dive, crashed into the paved vacant parking lot.
I picked it up, shut it OFF, warped a bit of UP elevator and LEFT rudder, and tried again. Same problem, and ditto the third attempt.
I brought it home, UNSCATHED! This little model is TOUGH! Not even a wingtip scratch. Any suggestions?
BTW, I paid $45 for it in the local Radio Shack.[>:]

Try launching the model straight and level or slightly downward. It is possible that the plane never got enough flying speed. Also leave the elevator as neutral as possible and make sure that you are launching directly into the wind. these are just some general guide lines, as I have never flown this model. However from past expierence a lot of the lower priced models like this fly marginally but modeltech is a pretty large company so maybe this one has some potential. Good luck .

ModelTech is a pretty good company. But this plane is made by Mega Tech. Not the same company.
I agree, get a better plane. If you want something really quick to get in the air and durable. See if you can find a Hitec Sky Scooter. Those planes fly nice and are made of solid foam.
It came with a Hitec 3 channel radio when I last saw them. The only thing I would change out of the kit is the charger.
