Anyone change their GP Super Stearman landing gear?
This plane love to bounced. Not easy to grease in the landing when cross wind is howling. As many have suffered, I encountered the same. LG fairing crack a little and it delaminate some of the landing gear mount area. So best option is inflatable dubros, and i have ordered them from LHS. What about a LG that are a bit more flexi?
That should help! Anyone done so?

Forget the landing gear. Raise the ailerons on the upper wing only by one quarter inch and call me in the morning.

Dr Go
I have used spoileron extensively on my glider as well as some of acro bird for landing. It helps a lot.
Since I'm on 2 servo aileron so I have 4 spoileron, I was worry the effect. It have little effect on the first 4 flight as the cg was as per factory plus slight head heavy.
I readjust the cg by .5cm rearward, neutral the elevator mix for spoileron landing, and increased the spoileron throw a little more. The plane fly a lot more slower and with the spoileron on, the descent rate increase but nose level without gaining speed. It allow almost wheel landing and it land nicely! So for the last 8 flight, I have only 1-2 bounced and that was due to the a bit of hump in the middle of run way!
So I don't need the inflatable as of then but as I check on the plane, the landing gear mount ply plate seems to have cracked. The plane is about 14-15lbs and the LG is so stiff its hard on the mount area. I have to strengthen it so far. So hopefully the inflatable wheels to keep the shock to minimal level and during taxi, it will not shock the mount area too much!

[8D] Have you changed the incedence on the wing...Set it at 2 degress Positive on the Top & Bottom wing...as per RC Report.
It has helped me....hold off on setting down helps...
Hope this helps,
Larry

RE: Anyone change their GP Super Stearman landing gear?
I saw the RC Report report and it's backward from what I experienced.
I initially raised my top wing ailerons as a temporary measure to alleviate the pitch change when going to full throttle and the abrupt stall upon landing.
The permanent fix was this:
1. Set the model with the stab horizontal at zero degrees
2. Confirm or change the lower wing to be at zero degrees also.
3. Set the top wing to be one and one-half degrees negative. This allows the top wing to be flying when the bottom wing is stalled.
