Default Phoenix Super Phoenix Models Super Decathlon pilot figure???

Hi, I am working on the Decathlon and was wondering if anyone installed a pilot figure?? It could be done but was wondering if anyone else tried it with good results. [8D]

I added lite-ply tabs on either side of the fuselage. I attached pilot figures to other pieces of lite-ply, long enough to span the cabin and rest on top of the tabs. Then I used wood screws to attach the long pieces to the tabs. The photos show the tabs in the forward pilot's position and the rear pilot on the long piece in position over the rear tabs. The wood screws to attach the long piece hadn't been added yet.

This method is easy to execute, sturdy, puts the pilots at about the right height, and allows them to be removed for access to the radio gear.

I didn't attempt to get exact scale pilots. The rear pilot came from a Seagull Spacewalker. Foxy was a profile made by glueing scanned images on either side of foamboard (liteply is OK too). My buddy Tony Glott invented this method. You could also use a picture of yourself. Since Foxy is a fictciouis character, I can claim that he is exact scale!

I did pretty much the same thing. I mounted the tabs as low as possible and used poster board to span the cabin with Barbie mounted on the poster board... All held in with a couple of screws... Mine however spans the entire cabin area... Kinda covers up all the clutter
