Depends on what look you want for your next plane. Do you want a high wing or low wing? Do you want a trike gear or tail dragger? World models makes some nice planes. There are sport scale warbirds that fly well such as the T28 and it would make a good second plane if you can get a flight or 2 with the buddy box. It has a trike gear and is a low wing. Phoenix Decathlon is a good sized plane that is reasonable price, flys nice and is fairly aerobatic. Its a high wing with a tail dragger setup. 46 sized planes are decent price and big enough to see easily. I would buy an OS 46 AX engine and use an APC 11-5 prop. Its the best engine in that size range imo. A Super Sportster is a plane with a wide speed range or if you want a plane with a mid wing mounting a Sig Mid Star is a fantastic flyer. [8D][8D]

The low wing airplanes usually roll faster, and don't self level the wings. High wing airplanes usually roll slower and tend to want to level the wings if you release the controls. The mid wing is a little of both.

trike gear means it has a nose wheel, like modern Cessna's.

tail dragger means it has a tail wheel like a WW II fighter, P-51, Me-109.

IMHO I like tail draggers better. New guys tend to dive at the runway and the nose wheel tares out the firewall.

Thanks for the info. I have a Futaba 6YG transmitter, is it good enough for these models?

You have a good 6 channel transmitter. The models mentioned above only require 4 channels so your transmitter will work just fine. [8D]

So you are not looking for a plane that hovers correct? You want a more scale-like flyer?
The war planes on that page will fly well and do what you want to do. You may also want to look at the Sig Rascal as that plane has good looks and flys well. The Phoenix or Seagull Decathlon also will fly well and do some aerobatics when you want to.

The Travel Air on that site would be perfect for you. You probably already have the engine for it in your trainer. Learn to fly that airplane and then move on to the more demanding scale and aerobatic models.
