Venus 40 Engine recommendation
I am planning on purchasing a Venus 40 and I am having a problem with what engine to put in. The real question is which engine do any of you recommend for this plane. I will be using it for pattern (Sportsman 401). I have been looking at the Saitos but I wasn't sure which one would actually fit. The 82 has the same specs as the 72, but from what I am reading from Horizan Hobby the Saito 91 has the same specs as a 65/80. Or should I go with the O.S. 70 Surpass II. The 82 is also just as heavy as the 70 surpass, and the 91 is a couple ounces more. What do any of you think. If you have any other recommendations that would be great. The only this is that I cannot afford YS.

I fly a "Venus 40" with a YS63---A FANTASTIC combo---YS63 $249.95--- $5.00 LESS than a Satio 82--- http://www.chiefaircraft.com/cgi-bin...ito/Saito.html

Mine flies very well with an OS 46FX, APC 11X6 prop. It is a light aircraft, not a lot of wing. If you want a good flying plane, don't stuff a lot of weight in it. IMO lighter is better with this one.
