I recently purchased a Micro Ultrix Biplane from Towerhobbies and really enjoyed flying it around my back yard. However, it's pretty darn toyish and doesn't have full range channels. It's pretty much all or nothing as far as motor control is concerned. So, what I am looking for is something a little more professional. Here's what I am looking for and I hope someone can steer me in the right direction.
- Small, slow flying plane, preferably a foamie (no larger than a 24" wingspan)
- Electric, preferably with the prop not mounted on the nose (I am new to the sport and I am sure I will plant this thing in the dirt a few times)
- Something that is ARF or RTF (because I have NO experience on building kits)
- $200 budget for plane, electronics and battery (I have a LiPo charger and a few field tools)
I've looked at the Graupner Mosquito, but it's balsa and a kit.
Any help that anyone can provide would be GREATLY appreciated!
