Hi guys
My Dad is having trouble mounting a 4 strock on a Tower Hobby Voyager. Its mounted upside down, however steering is binding w/ back of the engine, throttle is binding w/ engine mount. Any suggestion ??????
Thanks Mark

I had responded earlier to this post, but my reply went to cyber heaven, I guess. I will try again.
Minn has the best answers to the throttle question. I have used both methods. Also, use the quick connector (pic #2 above) in conjunction with a throttle CABLE instead of push rod. The cable will be more flexible. I have also (just this weekend) bent the cable to create a 1 inch offset, and then filled the cable weave with solder to stiffen it up. Worked like a dream, and routing it through the fuse is actually easier than nyrod.
Also, you can buy or make a bell crank system that bolts onto the engine mount. Go to tower hobbies and search for throttle linkage, and you will find it. About 5 bucks to buy.
As for steering, you may have to move the engine forward on the mount. If you can't do that, then you will have to add spacers behind the engine mount (between the mount and firewall). This can be washers at the bolt holes, or even another piece of light ply. Four strokes sometimes do get in the way of nose gear because of their rear carbs, but this can be easily worked around with a little bit of planning.
Hope this helps.
Edit:
OK, now I see what happened. This same post was posted in the Q&A forum as well. Please, it's four STROKE....Good luck.
