I am planning to buy a P 51 hanger 9 but I hate inverted engines,my question is , if I could install the engine side wise and has any body installed the engine side wise?

No problem, All of the H-9 P-51's I've seen will easily convert to a side-mounted engine

i have the WM mustang with a side mounted os 46 ax, still looks excellant, but must have a pitts muffler (in cowl) if you are using a 2 stroker, looks so much nice and less butchery.
