Default any snap problems?

Hello
I would like to know if anyone of you have had any snap tendency with too much elevator? I have a hobbico arf that is terrible. I would like to get another plane that wont snap.
Thanks
Jeff

What kind of plane do you have? There are lots of planes out there that won't snap. Also small things like laterally balancing you plane will make a big difference.

Hi,

I've just flown my 300s extra for the first time, and it snaps viciously if there is too much elevator movement. Happily, there is no tendency to snap at all at lower elevator rates, and these rates are easily enough to loop as tight as I could want.

Soooo, reduce the elevator movements, and also, try moving the weight forwards.

Default Positive incidence

Check incidence of wing and stabilizer. Should match. Positive incidence in wing or a warp will cause plane to snap. Even if the plane is perfect given enough elevator almost any plane will snap roll!

Default Its a great bird. I'll take it!

Hobbico extra 300 asap or awarf 60 size or 40 size? These planes love to snap I've built and flown quite a few. I have found that on the 60 size asap move the cg 1/4 inch forward from recomendation. The elevator is also in dependant haves. Make absolutly sure the throws are dead even the tune both ailerons to alittle updraft kinda like a spoiler. You can then use all the elevator you want and the snap will be gone. My asap 60 series has a gms 76 and it is getting close to unlimited, will hover, and knifes on a dime. Good Luck. Oh with the hobbico the fuse is very short comparison to the wing. You will have to fly it to the ground on landings. At low speeds it will tip stall.
