World Models has FIVE (5) different size Ultimates.

Which one you got?

I'm guessing you're interested in the 120R.

Their advertising only lists a 1.20 4 stroke for that Ultimate.

The Ultimate smaller than that one is a 46size and the Ultimate larger than that one takes a 50cc gas.

I dont hane one yet, I want to buy one and i dont know weather to get the 120 or the new 90 size?
I do have a Saito 125 waiting for it. The Saito might be too light for the 120 size ULTIMATE.

I have the WM 120 size and fly it with a OS 120 using a 16 X 4w APC prop. I recently modified the U/cart to Carbon fibre as the wire will bend. I think the newer versions have actually replaced the u/cart with Carbon

Go with the new .90 size. The planes' listed power requirement is based upon a two stroke glow engine, not a four stroke. Traditionally a four stroke engine equal in size to a two stroke will have slightly less power. Things have changed tremendously since that tradition began, but it's still better to be able to throttle back due to an excess of power than to come up "just a little" short. The Saito is an excellent engine BTW.

Get the 120R

I reviewed one last summer with a YS 110 and it was almost too much power

About the 90 size Ultimate.........

The World Models importer for the US has one listed online. Look in the list for scale aircraft, I think. Interesting that they list it, because the WM 2006 Catalog they shipped me a couple of weeks ago didn't show but those other 5 sizes.

I have the ultimate 120R with a pumped OS 120, more than enough power, the 90 size is brandnew, but that engine will be too much for it, get the 120R you wont regret it with that engine.

Ah, thanks for that post!

I just ordered the Nitroplanes 1.20R and I was hoping to put in my OS 1.20 Surpass III w/pump in it, but I was concerned that this might not be enough engine for this plane.

The 120 looks fairly light compared to other planes that are used with the 1.20, so I'm hoping your recommendation for the WM version is also applicable for the Nitroplanes version...

opjose, you won't be disappointed. As I said earlier, I have a YS 110 in mine and I'm seriously considering dropping down to a 91.

It's not that I don't enjoy the power, it's just that it's way more than this plane needs, so if I need the YS 110 for a future project, I'll have no remorse in taking it out of the Ultimate
