Default GP 1/4 EXTRA 300S (Gene Saucy) ????

Hello,
I have just purchased the Gene Saucy Extra from Tower, (second one). First one had super tiger 2300 which flew it well. Now
I want to put a Fuji 32 B. QUESTION-- will this engine be adequate? I also have a NIB Saito 150. I would prefer the gas over glow
due to fuel cost. Can anyone give me some advise. Thanks.

The general consensus is that this plane is better on glow than gas... it's one of those "in between" sized airframes. I'm putting the finishing touches on mine as we speak... OS 1.60 for power. IF you look two or three pages back in this section (ARF/ RTF) of RCU, there's a pretty good size thread on the Soucy Extra, and there's a WEALTH of info from guys that have built and are building them, both gas AND glow. I'm sure you'll find some good info there, as I did.

I agree with Lowlevlflyer. My Gene Souzy Extra weighs about 13 1/2 lbs with the OS 1.60 (with pump), I wonder how much heavier it will be with the Fuji 32 gasser. As for the Saito 1.50, it may be enough to fly pattern but vertical performance will be limited. Just my 2 cents.
