GOLDBERG SKYLANE ARF
Well. yet another ARF of a classic kit that is bound to take more money out of my wallet. Wasn't sure if any of you have seen this yet so I thought I'd post the link here anyway. As you can tell there's no picture of it yet and I went on Goldberg's website where there's no info there either.

I can't wait for this one either. My fondest modeling memories are of watching my dad build a beautiful Skylane 62 from the kit back in the late 60s. It was perfect and lasted only one flight when he lost it in the sun. I may pick one up just for him...he's 75 and cannot fly anymore but I'm sure he'd love it anyway. I built the Skylane 42 as a my frst r/c airplane...rudder only with a Cox .049. I was so proud of it and flew it many, many times. Think I'll backorder now!

RE: GOLDBERG SKYLANE ARF
Hi
Many years ago we built and flew the CG Skylane with a 3 channel setup and an OS 30 R/C engine-more than enough power and for all you 3d people out there no it won't hover.
Nothing against 3d as I am currently flying a Funtana 40 with electric setup and it's a great flying plane.
But I would kind of like to have some of the planes we had when we first started flying a long time ago. i have a few planes of that era-an Esquire and a Mambo
Those were real nice planes to fly.
As I recall the fuse was a bit of a pain to put together and had to leave everything dry over night. We basically had Ambroid and Lepages model airplane cement in those days.
The radio we had at the time was a Citizenship 3 channel proportional one.
I hope they retain the original lines as I would like to get one now.
It was a great looking plane, easy to fly and I hope it will be the same when it comes out.
Take care and have fun

My very 1st RC airplane was a Goldberg Skylance 62 in 1974, with a Fox 35 and a Heathkit radio system. Unfortunately back then I was a pure unadulterated novice and my airplane lasted only a couple of flights before impacting the pavement right in front of a US Air Force staff car in Ankara, Turkey.
I'm definitely going to get one of these -- my order is going it right NOW.
