Speed/sport airplane
Looking for an airplane/engine combo that is fast/super fast + will do aerobatic manuevers. 40 to 60 size. Have a 4 star 60 now with a ST 90. It's pretty fast and aerobatic. Just want something different.
Also just bought a somenzini Yak 54-73 in. that will not be that fast but aerobatic.

Speed and aerobatics don't really mix. There are some nice pattern planes that are pretty quick. The Cermark Javelin II - 46 is a good example that has good speed but I don't know if it would be any faster than the 4* 60 engine combo that you have right now. The T34 from World Models is pretty fast, fairly inexpensive and looks like a warbird even though it flys like a good sport plane.

The [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEUN4&P=0]Great Planes Viper[/link] isn't bad. With a good 46 and the right prop you should be in the 120mph or so range. With a Jett 50 a good bit faster. Lands nice and slow too, just takes a while to slow down.

Hi Jigeye
The Viper is a goog choice for a very fast plane, but if you want a superfast + try a quarter midget with a Nelson 40! This will quench your thirst for speed for a good while!

One point though. If the fastest plane Jigeye has flown is a 90 powered 4 Star a 180+ mph plane with no throttle might be a bit much. There's a couple of videos [link=http://www.teamseaholm.com/rcpylon/rcpylon.asp]here[/link] that will give you an idea of what you're dealing with. Be sure to check out the Vendetta and Proud Bird test flights.
I have a California Speed Pros [link=http://www.calspeedpros.com/Q40.htm]Vendetta[/link] going together but am powering it with a Jett 50 with race pipe. It won't be as fast as a Nelson powered, but should be lots of fun.

This brings up something I forgot to mention. Jigeye, since you seem to have gotten bitten by the speed bug you might want to check out the Extreme Speed forum. These guys know what they're talking about!
