Default Split elevator problem Cap 232

Hey Guys

I got a overseas cap 232 with crap for directions 1/4 scale ... It has a 2 piece
elevator with a metal u link between them. I want to run this on one servo. Is this a safe way to do this? I drilled the holes in the elevator and I can epoxie the hole assembly but I have not seen this set up before. There is a servo mount on the other side if you were to do a pull pull rudder. But, this is set up for rudder on the other side.
I am using hi torque futaba servos
in this application. S3010s
Thanks
David

If you use some epoxy, the "U" link should work well. Just be sure they both are at the same angle (build it on a flat surface). One servo should do the trick, depending on the strength of the servo. What's the wingspan?

I think the servo is ok ... It is a 73 inch wingspan

That method (using a "U"-shaped wire works well, as does a connecting piece of hardwood (except that takes up more room). Enjoy the plane and don't forget to post a pic or two of you flying it!
