Default seagull spacewalker 40 engine size

New to forum, off and on long time modeller. I bought the seagull sw 40 for my son, intending on using an old OS 48 Surpass that we used on an Avistar. It flew the avistar just fine, but is a little under the recommended size. Has anyone actually flown this plane with that engine? I read a lot of posts where guys are using 52 4c size and sounds like that gets them aerobatic performance. I have a spare ASP61 but I think thats too much. Besides the sw just seems better with a 4c motor.
Comments?
Thanks, Jim
