For some extra clarification, please read this month's RCM Clearence Lee's review on the ZDZ 50. It was all glory according to him. I do not know why people bash other manufacturers because they own a different brand of engine. The DA's are great, the ZDZ's are great and so is the OS 46 FX. All these engines are good in its class. Another thing, engine ratings should never be based on TOC champions. The engines do not fly themselves, a plane and pilot comes with the engine. I have and I am a lover of BMW's, and though the last two Formula 1 races (fastest car race in the world) have seen BMW come 1,2 twice, I still think Mercedes Benz, VW, Audi and Geo Metros are good cars. This does not mean that BMW will win for the rest of the season and that they are the worlds greatest cars.

Sorry to hear Kent, but we have about 20-25 ZDZ owners ( mostly 60- 100 size engines) in our club, only one problem on a 100 twin which was sent back and returned working well. The guy with the 100 in his H9 Sukoi also just bout a DA 50 for his PW Extra, and that was sent back with a few more because of crankshaft play. The guys at RC showcase acknowledged the problem. This does not mean that DA's are bad. We like the ZDZ's and the DA's but these companies can't manufacture 100% trouble free engines, there will always be 1 out of 1000 or 10,000 which will have problems and we have to understand this. Thats what warranties are for.
