My first thought is to get a Cedar Hobbies twin stick and go for it........plane is ok, needs a little re-glue here and there but it is fast and nimble...Cliff

They are much nicer than your 40LA, and I'll bet once you run one of these you wont want the LA anymore.
The SF series came out in the mid 80's and were OS's premium engine at that time. The came in both ringed and ABC. They are a step up in power for sure over the FP/LA series, but the are also easy handling, smooth running and long lasting. Many consider the OS FSR and SF series as better than the later FX and AX series.
I have had all sizes in the series 25, 40, 46 and 61 and each one was a gem. Wish they still made them! Every so often I pick one up off eb*y but they go for a fair amount of $$
