There are four of Cedar Hobbies Twin Sticks out here. There fly well, but are a bit shy on glue in the important places. Don't look for much in the way of a build manual, you sort of have to figure out stuff on your own. BUT !!!!! For the price, it looks like a good deal.....

I bet the CG is about the same distance back from the leading edge of the top wing as the distance the leading edge of the bottom wing is back from the leading edge of the top wing if not a tad more...... get that?

You don't really expect Cedar Hobbies to know do you?
Look straight down at the airplane and measure from the leading edge of the top wing to the trailing edge of the bottom wing. That is the effective chord. Your starting CG should be 25-30% of that distance behind the leading edge of the top wing. (Or 70-75% of that distance ahead of the trailing edge of the bottom wing, if that is easier to measure.)

Jim, Much better explanation..........On my EAA Bipe it was about equal to the stagger. On my Aeromaster it was a little more due to sweepback of top wing. I think there is a site you can google for M.A.C. for single wing, don't know if it covers bipes.. Once he gets it dialed in it will be a blast to hog around..... Cliff

Yes please, I love Bipes and years ago there was an old stick bipe I think made by midwest.
Let me know what you think about the engine....I have a Saito .50 lying around looking for a home.

Hay guys...
I do have the old Midwest stick biplane kit (unbuilt)...and Cedar Hobbies model is almost an exact copy. I built the old Midwest kit years ago and yes it is a bit short coupled...but a great little flyer for me. I had a ball with mine and I bet Cedar's will fly as well.
Soft landings,
