Default 4 Channels on 3-channel plane... HELP!!!!

I've always wanted to add ailerons to my little HobbyZone Super Cub but don't know how to.

I obviously need a new RECEIVER, REMOTE UNIT, and SERVOS.

So I had a goofy idea, could I use parts from the PKZ tyhpoon 3D (remote,receiver,and servo) to make my SC a 4 Channel?

Here are the parts I would possibly replace from the SC

[link=http://secure.hobbyzone.com/catalog/HZ/parkzone_typhoon/parkzone_typhoon_parts/PKZ4141.html]REMOTE[/link]

[Link=http://secure.hobbyzone.com/catalog/HZ/parkzone_typhoon/parkzone_typhoon_parts/PKZ4130.html]SERVOS[/Link]

Please help me out with this, I've never modded a plane this way and would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide me with some guidence here. [sm=71_71.gif]

-Thanks

ps. if this doesn't work, could you tell me of another way?

When I was in the Air Force way back when, our base motto was "AD ENXPLORATA" or some thing close, and it meant "TOWARDS THE UNKNOWN" lots a luck.....Cliff

your on the right track those parts will work great , the big trick is cuting a slot for the servo and cutting the alierons out of the wing , i think the wing on that bird is only about an 1'' or smaller so it might be best to cut the hole al the way through the wing and add 2 strips of ply there to screw the servo too . for the alierons you can use light ply and make a place to set the control horn . and then tape the y hareness to the wing wth the clear packing tape . and i would fit the motor from the typhoon too , dont know iff the current one can handle the extra load even though its only about 8 or 9 ozs

i have done one for the hobby shop i work for just to see if it would work , it did flew great
just rember to try to keep the blance in the plane

It could be done, but would probably add significant weight to the plane and therefore reduce flying capability.

BTW, it's called a TRANSMITTER, not a REMOTE.
