My Feedback: (15)
Ok , for those who won this plane would you say
1)go with a 120 , no smaller on the engine
2)retracts are doable if you have experience with bashing arfs
3)with the 120 power and flight should be very goodwill the airframe take it ?
4)wood joints , basic build -good? bad ? or inbetween -
5)based on competition , work need and end results is the $349 plus $45 shipping , virtually a $400 plane - IS IT WORTH IT ?

This plane is a little heavy, and has alot of drag due to the airframe. Retracts are a *****, and the mounts are to thin, and will tear out after a couple of bouncy landings. I would say that it is the worst of all the vmar prop jets. I finally took everything out of mine and scraped it. It had a os 91fx and flew very slow, takeoff's were very long and scary, i gave this plane every chance, and every benefit of the doubt, and finally gave up. It is a good looking plane, and maybe with some design changes it may be better but i dont see vmar doing that. I will say that once in the air the plane flew very well, just slow for a prop jet. if you put a 120 in this plane you MAY have to cut out around the engine housing, and it is going to add more weight to a already heavy plane.
The VMAR F4, and the Mig21 are pretty good, i have had both and they flew great, and fast, I sold my F4, after i got tired of it and wanted to move on, and i crashed my Mig21 doing
inverted high speed low altitude ( 3 foot off the ground) passes. I plan on getting another VMAR Mig 21.

Unsuccessful maiden the other day. Used up the whole runway but would not lift off.
Need to repair the damage and have another go. Might try moving the c of g back a little
Could anyone who has flown this model successfully let me know their c of g position. Thanx
