Default VMAR V-sick 40

I just purcahsed a VAR V-Stick 40 and I would like to know if anyone else has built and flown this plane? After looking at the landing gear I plan to opt to convert it to a tail dragger.
Is an MDS 46 an good size engine for this model? I also have a Tiger Shark 52 I could use, but I think it my be to much engine.

Thanks

Jim

I don't have a vmar but I do have an ultra stick and I think either engine would be fine. Make sure you put extra epoxy on the firewall and the wing hold down. I agree that you should make a taildragger once you learn to take off and land a taildragger you will never go back to a trike. I have found that it is much easier to take off with a tail dragger because as soon as you get a little speed it will track much better than trying to fight with a nosewheel taking you from one side of the runway to the other. Good luck with it.
