Solution to wing tube problem on the GP PW Extra 300 (post # 1294)
I got mine Extra with the same problem, and after a while I figure a solution....I think:
Take a 3/8" x 24" dowel and rap one of the tips with sponge, about the last 4 inches of the tip. Rap enough sponge until duplicate the ID of the carton tube. Secure the sponge with masking tape in the end where the dowel exit. It will look like a giant Q-Tips!
Take a full sheet of 250 sand paper, roll it and insert it into the carton tube in the fuselage. Help the sand paper to unroll inside the tube until match completely the ID of the tube.
With care, insert the giant Q-tip inside. The pressure of the sponge with expand evenly the sand paper. Then star to stroke all the way. The sand paper is suppose to move along with the Q-tips.
I worked fine for me and the tube fix with no problem at all.
Good luck!
