Default seagull superstar and webra 1.20?

does anyone know if this will make a decent combo? I have a speed 1.20 looking for a home, and just bought a super star 1.20 and it seems this might work out pretty well. I am not hoping for unlimited potential, but good climb out would be nice. Thanks, Mike.

put that motor in the funtana 100. let me tell you why. it flies dead on balls dosent tip stall lands like a trainer, inverted flight is just as good as right side up, it looks good, easy to build, price is nice and thousands have one and love it. you dont always have to fly 3-d style and most
importantly, you'll love it as well.

well thank you, but I don't have a funtana, I have a super star. If $ were unlimited, I'd take your advise

The Webra 1.20 will make a very nice combo with the SuperStar. We have three of them, two with GMS 1.20s and 1 with an Irvine 1.50 and they all fly very well. And with the right prop, you will have unlimited vertical.

excellent, thank you. I was thinking of an apc 16x8 prop. Might even try a Mezjlik if the plane flies good.

A 16x8 will give you high speed, but not much vertical. We use APC 16x6, which seems to be the best compromise. FYI, the GMS 1.20 is a copy of the Webra 1.20, so prop selection should be the same.

Have you had any of these planes on a scale, I am curious as to what they will weigh with the 1.20 2-strokes. I'm putting my good running GMS 1.20 on one right now.[8D][8D]......RJ

The two with the GWS 1.20s weigh 10 1/2 pounds. The one with the 1.50 Irvine is 11 1/4. None of them has any extra balance weight.

Don't those GWS 1.20s run nice?

Jim
