Quantum has this on sale for $100 off and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. I can't find hardly any info anywhere on this plane but it sure looks nice. I'd like to get it and fly until I get done kitting my HOB 300 L.

Default Hirobo Planes

I have the Hirobo Sukhoi 45 ARF, was going to buy the eXtra

-Needed to reinforce Landing Gear
-Glass Cowl is a little weak
-didnt use supplied engine mount or tank

Besides that...

Great Looks, Great flyer, no bad tendencies.

Inverted Flat spins were never so easy.

Very Happy with it, BUT REINFORCE LANDING GEAR.

I have had my extra now for about a year. It's a very good plane. Vretical is limited with an os 46. But it balances perfect with a 46 in it. If I was to put any motor in it it would have to be a ys 63. Comes with good hardware and is built very well.

Default TO CNSASS

CNSASS

I agreee on engine choice, need something more powerfull than the 46.

on the Sukhoi it came a little tail heavy with the 46.

Im thinking of buying the EXTRA, any problems with the landing gear or cowl or anything else. So I kno when putting it together.

Thanks

No the Extra is alot nicer then the sukhoi. The cowl is very nice and landing gear are really good also. The thing that kills the Sukhoi's landing gear is how long they are. I also had a bad cowl with the Sukhoi, but one phone call and i got another 1 in a few days. I had a Os 50 in my Sukhoi and it too was tail heavy. So I put a os 61 in it and it was way cooool!

Nothing comes cheap and if you want a litte more power try to go for an OS50AX or the MVVS 49. If not stick with something like an SC or ASP, they are cheap but very reliale. Of course do not expect as much power as the OS 46.

I have an OS 46fx like new laying around. I just want it to be able to pull out of a hover. I heard that it will not hover with a 46. I thought about saving up for the new Saito 82A. What do you guys think? Is this a good flyer? Any bad habits? Somewhat stable or hard to handle?
