Default Global AT-6 Texan CG?

The instructions say the CG should be at 2 1/4" from leading edge at fuse sides. This seems way too far foward. I have a Magnum .30 four stroke bolted to the front which sits further foward of most two strokes. Even with that and no radio, battery, cowl, canopy, or pushrods it is tail heavy for a 2 1/4" CG. With the tapered wings I suspect that it should be back over 3" and that may be too nose heavy. The Hanger 9 .60 sized AT-6 recommends a CG at 4 3/4". If you scale this down this is 3.1" for a span of 44".

So for sport flying not pylon racing what is the best CG?
