Default ROBOSTRUT problem

I recently purchased ROBQ0539-this is the robostrut suggested for the Great Planes 81 inch chipmunk-I am running a 0S 120 four stroke which is also suggested-My problem, the struts are fully collapsed when model is sitting on ground with no fuel and the model is all stock-Are these struts adjustable- or is there something else I might be missing- I really do not think this is normal-Any ideas?thanks

Sounds like soft springs, the fix is new springs.. Robart should have a fix try to contact them. I've owned several sets of robostruts haven't had this problem. Good luck.

Plane Jim

I have the Chipmunk and have tried it with and without the Robart struts. I actually prefer the plane without the struts, but I will say that my set did not collapse at all, so perhaps yours have a problem. Mine are a very early set, so I guess they could have changed them.
