Hey,
I am looking at some 1/4 scale and larger ARF planes, I'd prefer building and wanted a Carden, but they are a bit too expensive for the kits. I noticed on ebay a seller is selling a KMP Cap 232, their website is http://www.valleyviewrc.com/. I was wondering if anyone has heard of them? I am afraid to try them out because I don't want to get stuck with another bad ARF. I had a GSP (Giant Scale Planes) Edge 540 and that thing was garbage. Nice looking, but the hot glue didn't hold up too well, especially on the unpinned firewall. Big no no, on a large plane![X(]
So, I like some people would rather buy a good price ARF without the time put in for building. I've built enough airplanes, lol. I just don't want junk and I was thinking about Hangar 9 Cap 232G. I'm wondering about the quality of that kit because of the problems with the wings on their previous Edge 540s. I know they test fly their ARFs, but still they had some bad wings on the Edge 540 series. What do you guys think of their Cap 232?
Also, I'm considering Wild Hare. I like their planes and probably would go with their Extra. I haven't heard too many bad things about Wild Hare, but I've seen a video of one of their planes where the wings folded back in flight. The model wasn't doing any rough maneuvers at the time, the wings just blew off. So, I'm really wondering about the integrity of Wild Hare now. Do they use hot glue on their planes???????????????????
Thanks in advance for the info.

pipercub123, while I cannot give you any insight on the question, I can tell you that the plane/video I think you are referring to was flown by Bill Hempel and he admitted to using the wrong wing bolts here on RCU.
The one I think you are referring to has him landing it in a Knife Edge and was the 33% Extra

No, it wasn't him. It was a teenager who works at a hobby shop that has a website. I don't remember where I found the site. Hmm, using the right wing bolts is a good idea.
