pre-molded for wire landing gear w/ fiberglass support
The lower hole is a booboo on my part... drilled too low. It would be nice if the instruction actually indicates where to drill this hole.

Beautiful plane and worksmanship. I wish WM had come out with this plane before I decided on the Super Stunt 60, which after all the mods I had done ended up kinda like the Fun World 3D, except not as nice.

Yo adrian, stop with that! You are not helping me.
My pile of ARFs waiting for their turns on the building table is 3 deep, and that's after pawning off 3 other ones recently. I don't need me another one.

I humbly claim that my unbuilt ARF is only 1 pile deep. My wife keeps me disciplined enough to not to buy planes, but I still end up getting 1 every month or 2 w/o her knowing. The key is cash payment @ LHS. The only ones she knows about is the ones I bought from ebay and shipped to the door when I'm at work. Also, the discipline to build requires waking up early in the morning to get 1~3 hours of building time before work; evening is supposed to be for my wife & baby.
I am planning to put Enya 1.55R 4-stroke in there, assuming I can overcome the pre-drilled soft-mount-pattern mismatch.
I got the plane & the engine at Prop Shop Hobbies, www.prop-shop.com
Mecam, your UCD video #2 inspired me to practice the rolling loop, and I actually pulled off a few last weekend. I still have a hard time doing harrier that thing: it just wants to keep flying. I saw that you had spoileron mixed in w/ elevator, and I tried that, but it still wants to keep flying. My CG is at 5.75"

This plane looks great, has flaps too... Yeah, the UCD is not really a harrier type plane. It will harrier for a moment but like you said, it wants to fly. My CG is now 6.60" and all it did is make the elevators more sensitive.. I wanna get one of these, maybe with a Saito 150 or 180... Keep us posted on how it flies.

I may also put in a different pilot (beany baby), and save this one for my scale plane.

Sean:
Did you find the exit holes for the pull-pull rudder? If located where the picture shows, I sure can'f see them and it would appear that the rear former at the front of the stab would be in the way? I have not started poking around yet on the ultra-coat, have you?

If the exit holes are anything like on my WM Super Stunts, they are not holes, but rather slots that are right next to the upper longerons. It took some poking around alright to locate these slots!

I cut open these rudder cable slots. They are sliced-off plastic tube guides, covered by Ultracote. It didn't take long to find them if you just poke w/ fingernail to see which region would give.
Oh, I plan to use higher-strength pull pull cable, but use the same end-point hardware. The provided cable feels like a guitar string, somewhat flexible axially. I had the same cable in Super Stunt 60, and the rudder would move due to flexing of the cables themselves. This may be good to save servo, but not sure if it's the best for 3D.
