Hi Guys,
I just ordered a GP Spacewalker ARF from Tower Hobbies .. they are having a sale for $199. I've searched the threads and see alot of 4-stroke engine recommendations for this plane.. I'm thinking of putting an OS .61 FX two stroke engine in my Spacewalker. I'm not looking to burn holes in the sky, just simple aerobatics like loops, rolls etc.
Is anyone else flying this plane on a two stoke? How do you like it?
Thanks,
Carl

I have that exact setup and it flies great, OS 61FX with a 13x6. A friend of mine has the same plane with an OS FS91 and we fly the two planes together a lot. The four stroke definitely has more power on verticals but my two stroke does very well. When we're flying side by side I have to cut back to half throttle so the four stroke can keep up. The four stroke sounds much better but I'm happy with the performance of the 61FX, it's got plenty of power for this plane.

I'm finishing up on mine right now - kinda peeved I didn't wait for the sale. Oh, well. I'm installing a Magnum 1.20 FS I already have lying around.
I know of two guys flying Spacewalker with 61FX. They both flew very nice indeed. Seems like the engine had the power for general aerobatics, though one guy said he flies around mostly near full throttle and wish he had more power (don't we all). Both had to put a bunch of lead in the nose (10Oz.?), but this is just the way this plane comes out.
If I were to go with 2stroke, I would probably go with at least a .90, since it doesn't cost that much more than a .60. Have fun putting it together.

Have any of you tried this plane in RealFlight G2? The rudder seems tremendously powerful, is that accurate? Its rudder whips the plane around like nothing I've seen. I've been able to do some pretty cool stuff with it(in g2).

I`m installing a OS 1.08 in mine,Nice thing about it is you don`t need any nose weight and engine is a perfect fit.Mine is ready to fly ,waiting for spring.

I have a very reliable Super Tigre 90 w/pitts muffler on my Spacewalker. I run a larger 15-6 prop and performance is very good. It will not hover but very nice verticle for the loops and stall turns.
