Dave Patrick has anounced that he plans on producing a 40% Edge 540 for $1499.00. I was wondering what are your thoughts. I would like to see a larger ultimate maybe 75"ws for gas around $650.00..

Providing that it looks like an edge and not somthing based on his goldberg extra like all of his planes than I would be the first in line to buy one.

Yeah, but you'd have to have the patience of a saint. I passed up alot of other planes while waiting and waiting and waiting on the Extra (ARC) when it first came out. I may put it on a list of 'wants" but I won't ever make a commitment, with or without money, until something actually starts shipping.

I mean I know all of that pretty much goes without saying, but I am pretty sure that Patrick is the worst wiuth this.

I totally agree it took 6 months to get my ultimate, I should have cancled it but nothing flies like it.

I would buy one if it looks to be sturdy enough to last and light enough for 3d [like a carden]. I'll take the first one....

Dave Patrick Planes are great but their customer service, replacement parts, waiting time and communications are among the worst in the business. If you order one now you might get it in a year or so, he puts out the hype way early. If you have a problem or a question when you get it forget about talking to them about it as they seldom answer emails or the phone. Like I said, great planes but I just don't think they are worth putting up with Patricks way of doing business, no more for me

Looks like an EDGE- not an EXTRA?
where do you think the full scale EDGE came from?
The similarity is no accident.
