This was a replacement for a GP Giles 1/4 scale and I am starting to get it dialed it. The main question is what people have done with the wing attachment. The stock setup has two eyehooks in each wing panel and once inserted into the fuse they are held together by heavy duty springs. Well last night I did a a inverted flat spin and when I pulled out I had extreme yaw and had to make a emergency landing. When I got it on the ground one wing panel had pulled from the fuse and there was about a 1/2" gap between the wing and fuse. It had pulled away but not fully returned. Only about 1/4" of alignment dowels were keeping the wing from just rotating which would have been a very exciting crash. Has anyone else had this issue and how about suggestions to elimiate it. I am probably going to keep the springs but add zip ties to lock the wings together however I can only easily get to the rear hooks because my tank is on the CG over the fronts. I have a system to get the springs in there but zip ties on the front may pose a problem. I don't think there is any way to drill through the main tube and bolt it without it looking pretty ugly.
This is a great flying plane. I am not sure why others say it can't 3d because mine seems fine. I think its only a pound heavier than my GP Giles (which is not the plane but the heavy moki vs. the st2300 that the giles had) but flies almost identical and flat spins alot nicer. Lands very slow. Don't let the little wings fool you. The entire bottom of the fuse is flat (like most extras) and provides lift. Mine has a Moki 180 which initially was a bit of a dissapointment but after trying many wood props (all horrible) I went back to trusty APC's and tried a 18x8W and 18x6W. The 18x6W was perfect for this plane as it has unlimited verticle. The 18x8w was barely enough to pull from a hover and had too much speed. The moki ran like crap with a perry pump but I have a cline regulator on it and I can't praise this system enough. Worth every penny. I did junk all the hardware and put a nice tailwheel assembly on it. The only other problem I had with the plane is one of the trims on the wing coming up mid flight causing a parachute effect which also was very hard to correct for bringing her in. So in total I really like this plane and its worth the money but be ready to make it into a good plane.

Hi spyder0069,
You"ve made the same mistake like many other owner. You didn"t realize that the manual clearly shows the wing attachment ,which is 1 springs and 1 3mm screw per winghalf.I"ve got the same ship 1.8 Airworld Moki gasser on its nose.Easy to fly the plane.Ilike it.Just don"t forget the screws!

Yep. Checked the manual and it shows it. I probably skipped many of the pages of the manual since it was not well written and had to customize the plane to my liking. So now I have to move my throttle servo from that area to get to it. I can see putting in small screws in that area may be tricky. Have to find some that fit first. :^) Thanks for the heads up.
I have not found a APC 19x6. Do they make one? Who sells them (tower doesn't show one)?
P.S. my all up weight minus fuel is 13lbs 2oz.
