Hey guys,
Anybody have any input between the Richmodels Yak 54 and the Nitroplanes Yak 54. They're both 50 size and look to be desent quality. [link]http://www.nitroplanes.com/yak543d5056n.html[/link] and [link]http://www.richmodelusa.com/Products/GA-YAK54-50.html[/link] Let me know what you think. Problems.... One just sucks for this reason.... Rocks....
Thanks.

Richmodelusa looks good. I don't know much about them, but two of the Nitroplanes I built a year ago I didn't like and I wasn't very happy with them compared to Hanger 9, Sig, Great Planes and Goldberg. Also, I had a CG issue with the Nitro, the manual didn't tell me what the proper CG was supposed to be. The Hardware that came with it was terrible, and the parts didn't measure up... or even up correctly.
Some have had good luck with Nitro, I didn't.

I bought the Richmodels Yak. I was pretty excited to get a Yak in a .40, especially for such a low price. Once I began putting it together, I realized that you get what you pay for. The hardware was pure crap, the landing gear didn't match with the blind nuts correctly, everything was built extremely weak, etc. I got so frustrated that I got fed up and threw it away. sure, I could have taken the time and fixed everything but that's not why I bought an ARF. When I want to take the time to modify and build things, I buy a kit or build from scratch. I enjoy doing that stuff but not on something that is supposedly ARF. Others may have had good luck with the plane but I wasn't happy at all.
I'll definitely still buy from AK Models though. The service has always been good and it isn't their fault that the manufacturer did a bad job.

I like the looks of the Nitroplanes.
