What are you guys running on your Hanger 9 Pulse XT? I Brought mine out to the field and fired it up ....taxies REAL nice....very smooth. Running an OS .46AX with a 12.25x3.75 prop. The prop seems to require serious re-tuning of the engine. I am wondering if its even worth the hassle or should I just throw an 11x6 or something like that on. Has anyone flown both props...or clse to them. What kind of differences are you experiencing during your flights?

The 11/6 works fine, so we never tried anything else.
If this is your first Pulse, you might want to give this a look;

l agree with the other gent: The 11/6 works fine, so l never tried anything else. l use an Evolution 46 with Master Airscrew Scimitar 11x6 - lots of power, quieter than standard MA prop. l ilke it, and anyone who has flown my plane agrees - excellent combination!

I was a little surprised at how fast the Pulse flies. It's a slippery design, very clean airframe. I flew with a Mag 46XLS and found the APC 12X4 prop was my favorite. I was still surprised at the speed it gets with only a 4" pitch, but its is a good prop for flying maneuvers, strong vertical and good slow down for landings. I recommend it.

I'm at the other end of the prop spectrum from Jim Just changed props and went with an APC 11x8 on my .46FX that really hauls the little bird around. Yeah it lands a little fast, but landing's half the fun of the flight!

The 12.25 x 3.75 will provide you great performance with that motor. From the sounds of your initial post the motor is most likely still breaking in. If that is the case I suggest a 11x5 or 11x6 until the motor has had a good break-in period.

The motor is well broken in. Its been used for the last 3 months with 4 days of flying per week. I flew it today with an 11x6 prop. Very slow on the landing....but not impressed as far as top speed at all. maybe Ill try the 12.25x3.75 again tomorrow.
