Tiger Trainer N40TT anyone?

I just picked this plane up pretty cheap. Looking for anyone with experience with this plane to provide feedback on performance, like, dislikes, etc.
Box says Thunder Tiger, Tiger Trainer 40, ARF.

My brother had a TT trainer 40 that he bought used. His had a plastic cowl and a plastic turtledeck that made it look more like a full scale plane than many other trainers. The plastic parts got broken during typical newbie mishaps, so it didn't look realistic for very long. The plane had a strong tendency to climb even at low throttle settings. A popsicle stick under the trailing edge solved the issue and it flew very well.

I had the plane about 6 years ago and things may have changed so take all of this with that in mind.
The covering was something strange, I could not get "normal" covering to stick to it for hole repairs, the TT covering would melt before the glue on the new covering activated, buy a roll of clear packing tape and go with that.
The fire wall popped off on a firm landing, so you might want to go ahead and epoxy some triangle stock behind the firewall if there is not already some there. I can't remember if the main landing gear block popped out or not, probably did, might as well add some triangle stock and epoxy here too if you are going to do the firewall.
The wheels were to small for our grass field plus they were open pore styrofoam so I replaced them.
If it has the plastic cowl I would leave it off until you solo, then put it on and it might last a while. That cowl pretty much convinced me that I never wanted another one.
The plane did its job and after the first few repairs it became a pretty tough bird.

I am finding it to be a rather pain to assemble for a "trainer". My H9 Arrow was a snap compared to this. I will beef up the firewall and fuelproof it. I already have larger wheels for it. Those little foamy ones were a joke. The covering is peeling back in many places but some of that is likely due to the very hot and humid conditions lately. The hinges I beleive are of the robart type and pretty easy to secure. Some of the parts in the box did not match with the instructions and some of the steps in the instructions were done already. I had a plastic cowl on my HZ Super Cub and I went through three of them due to nose bumps on asphault landings. This will be landed on a grass field so hopefully that extends the life a little longer. The LHS owner said a guy he knew had one and had a few years of flying time on it and liked the plane. I sort of wish now I would have spent a few more and got the H9 Alpha to complete the circle on my H9 trainers as I have the Arrow and P-51 PTS. Oh well, like i said... I got it cheap and you often get what you pay for.

I did not know you were already experienced at flying planes.
I think you will like the plane fine, and you already know a lot of the stuff that I had to figure out after it gave me problems.
Hopefully your plane will not need to have the wing incidence adjusted, but if it does that is easy to do too.
Like I said, after the first few repairs the plane was a tough bird and flew very nicely.
