Hey Guys.......Just looking for a simple question answered..........I am putting the final touches on my new Twist 150......installing radio.......battery...Etc......
Where are you guys putting the balance point? I had to move the balance point forward (quite a bit) on my Twist 60 to keep it from balloning on landing & am wondering if I will have the same problem on the 150.
I am NOT into 3D or hovering......Just a crazy sport flier. Also OS 120 AX on the nose with a custom (shortened, cut in half) muffler extension. APC 15/6 prop

I think you will like the 150 a lot more the than the 60. I had a 60 with a Saito 125... Was a fun plane but delicate.
I would balance the 150 according to the specs in the manual .That is what I did and it lands fine.

I was just checking out Horizon's sight. The 150 now appears to be cheaper than the 60?

Any one that wants one might want to order now. Could it be an error?

Nope dont think so there wanting to sell them, no one is buying them. They may be discontinued in the future i'm thinking. I may get another one Just to have for parts in case i crash mine. Its an awfully good price. i noticed it too about a week ago, i was going to get another fuse. to Mount a different engine to. and saw that and thought hell i can get the whole plane for almost the same price as the Fuse thats crazy. i'll buy the whole plane. But i ended up Buying a GP U CAN DO 46 instead.. for 10 dollars more. have to have variety.. and something new to play with..

Thanks for posting that Snacker. Looks like they are clearing inventory, thats a great deal for a great plane can't hurt to have an extra one in the event this is the end of the 150 production.

Congrats on the fun new plane Jim! Sorry I haven't been up the field to check it out. I've been busy and until this past Sun.; I hadn't flown in 3 months. It's a nice looking field from the pics. Maybe one day I'll make it up there. Nice Rascal 110 also! Let me know if/when yall are going to have a fly-in or anything. Lindsey is flyting there too; Correct? Tell him I said hi!
Safe flying!

Good to hear from you. The Twist 150 is my fav plane, you should grab one while they are on sale.
Lindsey was the one who told me about this field last summer, its very nice way off the road and a lot of room, there is also a lake nearby that I row on which was the deciding factor to join here.
Have not seen Lindsey here this year.
I will definitely keep you posted when the club has a flyin here this summer.
Stop up anytime
I am usally there on Sunday Weather permitting

Okay, I have mine. The LHS sold the one they had on their shelf for the new discounted price.
I also picked up a Saito 180 to put in the Twist. Four Hitec 5645MG servos should be here early next week. The Twist should be ready for airborne action a week from now.
What aftermarket tail wheel assembly do you recommend I use ? Sullivan S860 or S861 ? LHS has both in stock.

Yesterday at the end of the day one of my later flights I felt something funny in the controls ...brought it down sniffed around and
looky here...
Maybe its time to upgrade the stock control horns....

Yes that does look Bad, better fix that. lol probably just a rare occurance. make sure there is no binding that will cause that to happen. It fatigues the horn and snap.

Roger on the EXPIRATION DATE. I may be getting close to mine.
It seams the more I fly this pupply the more frequent my close call dumb thumbs become. So far, so good.
I have three 40-size versions of this same plane and every single one of them is sitting in the corner of my workshop broken in two just behind the wing every one of them DUMB THUMBED.

Well at least my 40 wasnt Dumb Thumbed it was Crowed. Head on collision with a Bird. So no more 40 but i have a UCD 46 think i might get another 40 in the future.. But my 150 is flying pretty good now Seem to be waking up and running better each time i fly it. But its the bomber it flys nice and slow still. But i'm use to it now and kinda like it that way..

[X(][X(] Oh, My!! [X(][X(] Did the bird survive or did it end up feeding your plane to it's nestlings in a tree high over the lake?
That's got to be a one in a million occurance.

Yup, me too. Three 40 sized Twists I went thru....all broke in the same place. I simply tore the covering off and re-epoxied, then recovered. Flew again....then crached again. Never ending cycle................

Also consider .....If you loose a $175 Twist although tragic... Think about that other guy with the 50cc plane he just spent $600 on the Airframe, not to mention all those hi torque servos, engine blah blah.
