Default Help me find the right plane

I've been away from the hobby for over a year but I just had cataract surgery on both eyes and I'm back. I need help finding the right plane for one of my G-26s. I was thinking of the GP Giant Super Chipmunk but it looks like I would need to really mess up the cowl for that to work. I'm looking for a plane that would give similar flight performance and be low-wing instead of shoulder- or mid-wing. I won't be doing 3D or competing but I like spirited sport flying - the GP Super Sportster is a little too tame.

I'm wondering what kind of performance I could get from the SIG Extra 300XS. Or, is there some other plane I should be looking at?

I'm looking at everything I can but you guys might save me a lot of wasted effort if you can direct me to something I don't know about or fill in my knowledge about stuff I've seen before.

Please, let me know what you think.

Dick,

I would think that best quality/price you might get for the
models made by Manufacturer CMPro:

They are sold everywhere.

I agree. I just received this one.

Haven't flown it but am in the middle of assembly. CMP has really upgraded their ARF's and this one appears to be very well constucted. Actually had a better factory gluing job and the joints and better covering job than the last H9 plane I built. Powering mine with a Saito 220, but that G26 ought to have the power to do what you want.
