Default Quiet my DA50!!!

Hey guys. Got a 1/3 GP Pitts and a DA50 up front. I had no idea how loud it was with the stock exhaust. Any good mufflers out there that will really shut it up w/o losing power. I cant put canisters in it.

The stock side mount DA muffler isn't usually that loud. Not overly quiet but certainly not loud either. Not sure what you can tolerate on that airplane but one of the wrap around types might be quieter .. such as the Bisson. You might try their side mount also. What kind of prop are you running? You could have as much or more prop noise than exhaust noise depending on the prop.

Put one of these on it. The difference is drastic.

I have one for my Brison 2.4. I haven't used it yet but I made a homemade one a few years ago using the exact components and my Brison went from 98 db - 92 db with 0 loss of power. I have never heard any gasser with a stock muffler that was anything but LOUD, including several DA 50's
