Default Surface Throw Rates on GP ARF P51D

Finishing up the assembly on my GP P51 ARF Mustang. The way that the elevator came hinged and covered left no room for extra throw. I just install my radio and pushrods and am able to attain the recomended travel of 1/2" up and down (barely) at the wide part of the elevator however this looks like very little compared to other model planes I've had. At the thinner parts of the elevator its only around 1/4" of max travel..very little. Don't want to end up flying it and being way short on elevator at take off/landing. Can someone advise me here, will these rates work fine?

Thanks!
Kal

Default Throws

I highly recommend going with what's recommended for the first flights. I know it doesn't look like much, but oftentimes more isn't better (especially when it comes to elevator throw). Too much could induce snaps.

Set it where recommended, check your weight and balance, give it a go. You can tweak it to your liking after you've felt it out.
