the skybolt from great planes although now there is the issue of the covering on great planes being somewhat less than advertised

World Models has an excellent 40size Ultimate.

The Skybolt is pretty good. As a very popular kit some years back some would weigh 9lbs. My ARF is 7lb 4oz and the recommended 61 pulls it excellently.

For the Saito .82 i would go with the SIG Sun Dancer 50.

The .82 would be too weak for the Skybolt. You'd need at least a .91 in there, or a 100.

I agree. The Sun Dancer is a very good Bipe. I have an OS70 in mine & its plenty of power. The Saito 82 would be great in this Bipe. Get the red/orange version, its much easier to see on a cloudy day.

The sundancer was my top pick before this thread. Do you have any info on the flight characteristis on the sig? I,ve gotten used to flying airplanes with 70 -80 inch wingspans. Just a little worried about wing loading, being unstable, long take offs.

Seriously though I think the Sig Sun Dancer would be a nice choice.

I had the 72 inch Sun Dancer with a 64cc, my friend has the 50 inch with .75 Tower, I like his better, it has NO VICES, get it you'll love it.

If you want a 3D bipe, get a Boxxer ARF from Ohio Model Planes.

Here is one of their stock pictures. Should fly great and land very slowly.
