well fellas,
I was in this hobby and flying up untill about 2 years ago. now I want to get back to flying again. I sold all my old planes but still have radios and flight line equipment stuff. so I need to select a plane to get started again.
My delema is what to get. should I get a trainer and start over at the bottom?? (im leaning that a way) or should I get a sport or H9 arrow .40? I dont know where to get started and really dont want to get a plane thats over my head.
WHich one should I get??

If you feel your rough around the edges then a trainer might not be a bad idea...or at least a good top wing plane. Any trainer would do in that case.

Or, you could buy a PC flight sim and a nice sport plane, equivalent to what you were flying when you quit.
Use the sim for a couple of weeks to knock the cobwebs off your thumbs, and then pick up with the sport plane and carry on.

H9 Arrow is a pretty good plane to get back into the sport. It's pretty stable - as stable as a lot of basic trainers are but because it has a semi symetrical airfoil it can be a lot of fun.
You'll probably feel comfortable using that until you get your thumbs back in.

Since you`ve got experience, if you wanted to " break back in " with high wing trainer type, I`d recommend looking at an Avistar.

then what about a H9 Arrow .40??? it sounds like its a bit more advanced than the avistar but not to much, maybe it would be about right??

I it back ordered from horizon? Or was it? I had the site tell me 1/2 my order was on backorder but turns out they had it all in stock. Guy on phone said it takes a few days to update site when stuff comes in. Just a thought.
