Does anyone have any experience with the VMAR RV4 ARF? How about any of the VMAR line?

I had an RV-4. It flew fine, not very aerobatic but fun. I do think there are better planes out there though. For the money, I would go with a World Models T-34 over the RV-4. They fly somewhat similar but the T-34 is better built, much lighter and looks better.
