I haven't read much of the German-made kits and ARFs here.
Are these of questionable quality or are they worth looking at?

Jamara is a German distributor, but their ARFs are built in China.

Hi,

Germans, as far as I know them as a Dutchman, only want high quality products. Their products are made of good quality materials.

I don't know what product you are interested in, but if you let us know other people could give you more specific information.

Regards,

I have one made by Jamara but stamped with Global and found it on a Jamara site, Any how it was nicely built and great covering BUT the instructions totally UUUUMMM What does a vacume do OH yea a vacume sucks...:disappoin and the hardware is also real shabby but the plane itself was quality so if you put a little commen sence and new hardware like controle horns and such you will have a nice plane, Wich plane are you looking at, I have the .30 size waco biplane.

I have purchased the Jamara F6F Hellcat. It is of TOP QUALITY. I have not flown it but the construction and looks are better than I can do!

The Super Chipmunk is the model that I am interested in getting.
It looks like a quality model, but I have not seen one in person.

I have their Folke Wulf FW-190, 120 size. While the color scheme doesn't exactly appeal me (it's...umm... gray, like a Folke Wulf is supposed to be?), I have to give praise to the quality.

Default seanychen,

Thanks for the reply on your Jamara kit. Sounds like they are worth looking into. By the way, you are in Michigan? I just got your post to this thread at 10:24pm Central time and it's still 3/31/03. How did you post at 4:?? in the morning 4/1/03?

Default Never mind,

Now that I posted this reply, the time and date on your post has
gone to normal. When I first read your post, it actually said that
you replied on 4/1/03 at 4:17am! Must be the old April Fool's joke.

Are those Jamara models available in the United States? If so, where?

Dauntae,

It seems that there are some more models available over here in Europe. For example:

- a very nice Pitts - S1

- This Giles G-202

- And this XFreak

Go ahead and make me want to go to Europe. The market over there does have a lot we don't mostly because that's where many of them are made and only so many get imported. At liest there are still many to choose from.

Dauntae,

I am sure you know planes can fly.... Even if they are in a box... I am not sure how much it will cost to send one of these planes from here to the US, but I can find out.

Prices for the above mentioned planes?
Pitts- - US$ 228.00
Giles G-202 - US$ 196.50
Xfreak - US$ 164.00

Now you even more want to come over to Europe?
