Default Plastic hatch question

I have an 46 glow arf that has a plastic hatch, that is cracking around where it curves around the leading edge and where the screws come through. What's the best way to reinforce the hatch to prevent further cracking?

Use 3/4 oz fiberglass cloth and PVC pipe cement from the hardware or discount store.

Clean all fuel away with alcohol.

cut the fiberglass to size. and place on the inside

Use the swab in the PVC cement to paint it down

Let dry a couple days

Thanks. The pvc cement won't melt the plastic?

I use epoxy instead of the pvc cement.
