Has anyone had a problem with the lower wing cradle not fitting the wing? I don't want to force the wing and warp it. Should I trim the cradle to make it fit, or will I be changing the incidence of the wing to much?

If it does not fit, you may have gotten a kit that is not put together correctly. There are a lot of post on this plane, but I have never heard of this problem. You should contact Great Planes, and see if they feel you can adjust it, or if they can replace defective assembly. They have been very good about supporting their products.

In my Pitts i had to move 1/2 inch foward the middle support of the upper wing.
I assemble the wings without the cabane struts and the take the measurements, and attach the cabane in the correct position.
I always thinks that my Pitts was made on the day of Monday.!!!!!

Thanks everyone, I did not test the wing without the dowels... already glued in. That was a mistake! I'm always afaid of enlarging the dowel holes, but it is easier then sanding the saddle. Could you tell me the distance from the bottom of the fuselage former to the start of the dowel holes.

HI Spinman,
I had to do the same as Sandman Norway to get the wing to lay flush in the saddle. If this does not solve the problem then I agree with THL101.... Call G.P. I have not heard of this problem and my lower wing fits very nicely in the saddle.
Good luck and have fun. Great airplane.

I extended the dowels holes about 1/8 of an inch and now the wing fits fine. I don't believe I changed the incidence. All is well!
Thanks
