Does anyone have any info on the new Hanger 9 P-51. Their web site lists a 1.50 size P-51 that is not yet available.
All it says is (w/retracts and 399$)

Thanks,
Curt

Just packed the trailer today and heading out tomorrow. The big stang has flaps, retracts, scale tailwheel location ect ect. Sweet flying warbird. See you at Toledo guys.

Well------------I am installing a Saito 180 in the smaller Hangar 9 P-51. What is the wingspan on the plane?

It is just under 80". The 2.00Ti and the 1.80 are more than enough power for this plane. It is just at 13 pounds with the 1.80 in it.

I can't believe your going to wedge a 1.80 into the .60 size. Can I ask why? I guess with the bigger stang you will put a Zenoah GT-80 with open stacks running on Alcohol and push 180mph!!!!! <G>

Good Luck,

JD

Retracts huh? What kind?

So far all arf retracts I've seen are well...crap!

Get with Robart and offer some retracts that are up to the task...please.

Do I also see a new T-34 in Horizon's future as well (per the website, of course). And though not a warbird, perhaps a 40 size Funtana?! I did a search for 'NYA' on their website and found these... can't wait to see 'em.

Yes and Yes. The T-34 and the Funtana will be at Toledo.

The Funtana was designed by Sebastiano Silvestri of Italy, just like the larger 1.20-1.40 size Katana he designed. It is an awsome 3D machine. Everyone here is getting one.

Look for a street price around $170 for the Funtana and the T-34. The engine of choice is a Saito .72 for both.

The Funtana does not like to be over-powered. The .72 gives plenty of power to hover and will clime out of sight using an APC 14x4 wide blade prop.

The T-34 is one of the most easy to fly .40-size planes I have ever flown, and there is also the option to install retracts as well.

Yeh, it's going to be something to see. First flight will be spectacular whether good or bad if you know what I mean. The way I see it is teir are some racers stuffing YS 120's on the front of the .40 size WM P-51. So why not a 180 in a .60. We shall see. Take care
