I have a YS120AC, a real stump puller, that I want to put to good use. I either want to get the Dave Patrick 120 size Ultimate or the Pitts 120, as offered by winnerrc, heres a link to see it: http://www.winnerrc.com/Arfairplane/...mment:%20Pitts
I want to fly aerobatics and what ever 3D the plane is capable of. I know the Ultimate is a great flying plane, but the Pitts looks so cool, I have to consider that plane as well. Does anybody have experience with either planes and can enlighten me please.
My YS120AC pulls an apc16x10 prop very well, and also a modified Zinger18x6, it really has a lot of power.

I have built and flown a DP Ultimate, and have flown a smaller size Pitts. Overall, I would say Definitely go with the Ultimate.
The Ultimate ARF is an awesome work of art. It built very easily, the wings came joined, the cabane set up, everything was set up, all you have to do was assemble the tail, and install your gear! it couldnt be easier. The quality of the model was tops, VERY light!
I have a YS 120NC in mine, Will do tight Knife edge loops, awesome torque rolls, and has unlimited vertical. The huge rudder area is great for aerobatics!
I will soon be doing a construction/review post on RCU about the plane.
Good Luck

these are both basically dave patrick planes and build the same. I owned the pitts and loved it. it landed and took off so sweet it made you look like a pro. I mean you could have went up and just flown the pattern and then landed and had people talking about what a great job of flying u just did. it lands that sweet! Technically i think the ultimate is supposed to have less coupleing issues and such but in my opinion go with which ever one u like the looks of best. My opinion again the ultimate is ugly, Im not a fan of orange.
