Does anyone have one of these? They claim 12.12 pounds flying weight, with 1636 sq in wing area.. That seems pretty optimistic for an 85" bird.. If it is accurate it should fly like a feather..

Hello,
I have one of these beautiful Precision Hobby Products Extra 260s. I am not an experienced pilot however this plane flies great! It flies honest and is extremely easy for me to land. My instructor however is a very experienced pilot and has flown it both advanced IMAC maneuvers and radical 3D maneuvers and loves it. He commented on its maiden flight how it took almost no trim at all. It did vertical up lines, inverted flight, hovers, and knife edge flight extremely well straight out of the box.
I believe the plane weight was about 15 lbs plus or minus; I would need to check for sure. I have a PHP 51cc engine and it pulls out a hover with authority and has limitless vertical power. The PHP 51cc (with the PHP Pitts type muffler) is very similar to the DA 50cc and the DL 50cc engines.
The airplane comes already drilled for mounting all three of these engines (because we have discovered all three have the same bolt pattern).
The airplane came with all hinges already installed, except the rudder and it was pre-drilled.
The airplane was very easy and quick to build.
Precision Hobby Products does not have an instruction manual yet, however if you have ever built an ARF before you really do not need one.
The hardware was complete.
I think anybody looking for a cost affordable gas airplane will be extremely happy with there purchase.
